My name’s Deborah Tilley – hell, call me Debs! – and I help writers ensure their novels are in tip-top shape. Maybe you’re looking to self-publish for the first time or you’re about to approach a publisher with your manuscript. Either way, my services aim to make your words flow and do what you intended them to do: keep the pages turning.
I specialise in fictional works of the mystery and suspense genre. From crime and detective fiction to supernatural thrillers, I can tidy up your typos, spot plot or character inconsistencies and make sure your manuscript leaves an impression – of the right kind. This frees you to focus on what you do best: write a blinkin’ good story.
With a first class degree in English Language and Literature, I’ve worked for four years as writer and editor for Macmillan Cancer Support. I’ve completed courses in-house at Macmillan Cancer Support, through the Society of Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP), The Press Association and The Henshall Centre.
Want a test run? Send a sample of your writing to Debs@curiouseditorial.com and I’ll provide you with a free 500-word edit so you can see exactly the kinds of changes I may suggest. I’ll use Tracked Changes and the comment function in Microsoft Word to conduct the editing.
