I have over 30 years’ experience working within the social inclusion and equality and diversity fields for two local authorities and a national and several local third sector organisations.
I am an experienced manager with strong project, funding and fundraising management skills, project design, project development and delivery experience. I have researched, developed and written funding bids successfully drawing down both capital and revenue funding from European Social Funds (ESF), Regeneration funds, Lottery funds and a range of government and charitable sources.
I have undertaken a number of action research and qualitative /quantitative research projects as well as set up, developed and managed the delivery and evaluation of services and provision targeting children, young people and their families and carers.
Through this work I have honed my proofreading and copy-editing skills working on research papers, project and programme review & evaluation reports, strategy and policy documents; training material and presentations; funding bids and tenders and promotional material.
I have successfully completed a number of full life cycle projects , using the Prince 2 methodology and processes and written and published an intergenerational oral history book- The Heritage Journal- on behalf of a charity in Leeds.
