A former newspaper reporter, I run a home-based business providing editorial, DTP and project management services to academic organisations, blue-chip companies, charities, government bodies, PR consultancies, design agencies and publishers.
I can write articles and features with flair, speed, clarity and accuracy, and in different styles for different media – in print or online. Subjects I have covered include business, conservation, construction, education, engineering, farming, finance, history, industry, motorsport, property, science, technology and transport.
During my career I have interviewed people from all walks of life in all kinds of environments, from teenage gang members on inner-city estates to captains of industry in City boardrooms. I can provide images and illustrations for my articles using my picture editing skills or by taking my own photographs.
In addition, I have extensive experience of editing reports, newsletters, magazines and books in a wide variety of fields. I also help clients to launch new titles or relaunch existing ones. Several corporate publications written and/or edited by me have been commended in the Communicators in Business Awards.
I am able to travel all over the UK and anywhere in the world to carry out reporting assignments. My office (Mac-equipped and with broadband) is located in the heart of England, just over an hour by train from central London.
