Carving out a successful career as a Freelance consultant
|
| London (Mayfair) – 6.30 to 9.30pm on Monday 23rd February 2009 Webconference available for those unable to attend in person
| Double the earnings and potentially more variety than a permanent role; plus greater freedom in determining your preferred work/life balance – it’s no surprise that an increasing number of consulting professionals want to identify opportunities to work for themselves as a freelance consultant / interim manager!
With the use of contractors typically rising during turbulent economic times, the next 12 months is likely to be a great time to carve out a successful career as a freelance consultant.
There is of course a catch. Experienced freelancers will tell you that the critical success factor in doubling your earnings is consistently winning work and ensuring you are billing as much of your time as possible. Each week spent looking for projects rather than working on assignment, you are literally losing thousands of pounds.
That’s why we’ve organised this event to help consultants opting for the freelance career path to ensure they’re spending their time working on assignments and billing clients, rather than scrabbling to find the next piece of work.
This event will benefit those who want to start out as freelance consultant - and those who are already successful freelance consultants but who want to develop effective methods for finding new clients.
Objectives of this session
• Help those currently employed full-time as consultants to assess options for switching to become a freelance consultant, including the role that recruitment agents can play in finding you your first freelance assignment
• Empower all freelance consultants to build up a network of client prospects so that winning assignments becomes second nature and you’re in a position to turn work away rather than worry where the next assignment is coming from
• Introduce a powerful, tested system for you to find 50 to 100 potential consulting clients using only your existing contacts and a range of freely available research resources on the web. This is a step by step process which our presenter has used to go from 2 clients to 20+ clients in 6 years!
• Provide a great opportunity for networking with others in the freelance consulting community
